Donations with a difference
We’ve found some great ways you can raise money for NECS which are free to you, but would help the community in Nkuringo enormously.
Gift aid
As long as you are a UK taxpayer, we can claim an additional 25% of your donation from HMRC, backdated to your first donation to us. In the tax year 2022-23 we raised nearly £9,000 through Gift Aid alone.
All you have to do is complete a gift aid declaration form. Please contact us directly for a form. You can also ensure we get gift aid if you tick the gift aid box when donating through our Justgiving page.
Easyfundraising
Sign up to easyfundraising and many many shopping websites will donate to NECS whenever you shop with them. All you have to do is click one button whenever you shop, buy a holiday, insurance or change electric supplier. It’s so easy and free money! When you sign up you have to select the cause you wish to support. If you start typing Nkuringo Education and Community Support we’re normally at the top of the list when you type ‘Nk’! I’m not a big shopper but I’ve raised £28 for NECS through easyfundraising.

Recycle ink cartridges
Recycle your unwanted Ink cartridges (not laser or toner) and help raise funds for Nkuringo.
Most used printer ink cartridges have a value of between 10p and £2, even if they are not the original manufacturers. I set up an account for myself with Recycle 4 Charity and they will give NECS an amount per cartridge, based on the listed value. If you have any ink cartridges you want to dispose of, and they’re on this list (please check first), then you could help to raise more free money and reduce landfill.
It’s very simple to set up an account and then you can download a label, based on the type and quantity you’re sending back, or receive a collection box to fill with the help of work, friends and family. All you need to do is go to recycle4charity.co.uk, select ‘start sending cartridges’, and you will go through a very quick sign up process. When requested, please select ‘Nkuringo Education and Community Support – C102769’, and we will earn a donation for each wanted list cartridge sent to them. I sent 4 back this week, earning £8, almost a free chicken! A win for the environment, and a win for Nkuringo.
